One of the worst days of my life, BBC are showing his goal online now.
never watched it since but always blamed Scaloni.
Having watched it now, its fucking Benayoun. watch his bollox attempt at a clearance and then running out of the way.

I've never watched that game on telly. I was absolutely gutted walking out that stadium. It didn't help that everyone banged on about what a great FA cup final it was.

The other thing that irked me about that particular evening (well there are several but..) was the foreign commentator was about my dad's age but had a ginger mohican. And he was wearing a Liverpool shirt.
Oh and woke up in Omiya (about 25km from my house) on an empty train at 7am.

I was in the pub in Shinjuku with a few hammers from all over.
Bloke standing next to me with fucking dreds, stank of roll ups and stale piss. London accent but kept singing you'll never walk alone is a faux scouse accent. He kept bearhugging me, thinking I'm a Liverpool fan. When he went to the bogs, we filled his pint up with piss. He drank it.

Watch it carefully several times. Scaloni could do nothing, Hamman knowing he should throw the ball back as Cisse had gone down. Threw the ball very fast at Scaloni's body. He would have had to be a contortionist to get out the way. Scaloni did the best he could imo, then Gerards wonder strike.
If West Ham had played that move. The media would still be talking about it as one of the most unsporting moves ever in football.

Yes it would have. It was a throw in back to us from the scousers for kicking the ball out. It was 3 yards from the line. He is the only one to blame in that scenario.

I thought scaloni cleared , but we was so deep, that the ball came back in, REO coker left Gerrard because ( it was pointless and he had cramp) so Gerrard on aching limbs and only the calf muscle working, hits a ball from 35 yards which you could put a laser level on.....never seen a ball struck on the bounce from that distance ,without any rise on it...... Cramp in the thigh , the only explanation....

The exact feeling I had when he drilled that in always comes back to me every time its brought up. Utter desolation. Literally only seconds before I was convinced wed done it.held on.
Ifemory serves that Gerrard when down with 'cramp' just before, found the energy for that shot though the cunt
